Patrick Omiel

Patrick Omiel Okecho leads the Information Systems Support team at HISP Uganda, supporting the day-to-day design, deployment, and implementation of digital systems contracted to HISP Uganda. He also serves as a DHIS2 Regional Implementer, contributing to global initiatives including climate and health, DHIS2 digital health toolkits, and regional DHIS2 Academies.

Patrick is a PhD student at the University of Oslo, HISP Centre, where he is using the climate–health project as a case study. He holds an MSc in Information Systems and a Postgraduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation, and has over 20 years of experience in health information systems across hospital, national, and global levels.
